Sketch - King Power

He has a funny name and a funny costume... but if you laugh, he'll hear it and you'll pay.

Don't say we didn't warn you.

Not bad at all. Although for some reason I think he needs some royal facial hair such as a magnificent mustashe or burly beard.

Looks cool!  ;D

I'm with Kal on the need for facial hair to make him look more "king"ly, though.

True. I'll mention it to Justin and see what he thinks. He doesn't need an alter ego, so it doesn't matter if he's recognizable because of it.

Awesome, I'm glad you guys like that idea! Here's another, I actually got this idea partially from hearing the feedback on DC's Nu52 Voodoo, if one of King Power's goals is to be worshipped should his non-superhero job be stripper?

Haha! As amazing as that would be (in a comedic sense), he doesn't have a secret identity. He basically lives his life without apology and without concern for most things.

For example, he doesn't need to "protect" a wife, girlfriend, or family because he doesn't care about forming relationships and is astranged from all his relatives. He simply doesn't pay any attention to anything that doesn't benefit him on some level. (Usually ego-wise.)

Essentially, he's a look at what it would be like to have a "real" near-immortal super-hero. He's not evil, and he's more good than bad... but he does some pretty awful things simply because he can. It helps to think of the average U.S. Politician or C.E.O. Those are the real folks with the most power, after all. :)

I've asked the man to refrain from shaving for a few days and he's become quite bushy. He surely grows facial hair faster than I could!

I'll be sending Chris the bearded version of King Power asap. It truly does enhance his design. Thanks for the suggestion!

Keep on the lookout for more!

Oh, and "Hello" by the way! I decided it may be a good plan to join the boards and try to keep up with what everyone's saying about these sketchies.

Cheers Justin, fantastic work by the way!

Hey Chris, I don't think I was clear before, when I wrote "non-superhero job" I meant the job in which he earns currency. Because unless he's state ordinanced like the Avengers he's going to be broke (or at least have a limited amount of savings). So when he goes to eat, sleep, or dry clean his cape he will have a real problem. So other than the option of theft he will be forced to get a job, also as far as I know to be a bounty hunter you'd need paperwork, which costs soney, which leads stripper.  :P
