Introduce yourself
« Topic Start: August 09, 2011, 10:22:28 AM »
I'm Michael. I like playing volleyball in the rain, talking to assorted nutjobs on the internet, taking bus rides around town, watching sunsets while drunk, and visiting playgrounds with my soon-to-be-six-year-old niece.

Tell me your name and a tad about yourself.

Hi. My name is Ben Ferrari. Saw Chance mention his OnStands.com, thought i'd check it out. i like it.

I publish comics as Earthbound Comics (www.earthboundcomics.com). 14 or so books done so far. Heading to Image Expo in 3 weeks with a table! I live in the East Bay, half hour or so from San Francisco, where I work. Wife, 3 kids, 35 years old.

Some prints I'll have at Image Expo:

Hey, great stuff! I especially like how you seem to be able to shift styles as necessary. A very cool abilitiy. Welcome aboard!

By the way, it's Chris. :) The only reason I say so is I wouldn't want anyone thinking I'm *the* Chance Wolf... it'd hurt him more than it would me, naturally. Ha ha.

Ha, I guess I just assumed it was Chance. Ha.

Oh, the art is not all mine. In fact none of it is, actually. While I did draw the interiors for Villains #1 and Souverain #1, I get much more talented people than i to do the covers.

I think the only way to get anyone to give your books a second look is to invest in the best looking cover possible. I know I only look at new books in which I like the cover art.

The Stars cover is by Martin Montiel, who has done work for Top Cow and Zenescope, the Souverain cover is by Seth Frail, who by god hasn't done enough stuff,  and the Villains cover is by a Spanish artist named Angel Rams.

Hey! Tried to post a reply in the Conventions thread, there was no REPLY button!

Ahh, well kudos on knowing how to hire cool cover artists!! Ha ha!

I'll check on the Con forum right now. It's likely I set the permissions incorrectly.

Oddly enough, the permissions are (seemingly) correct.

Maybe the background behind the "reply" link hadn't loaded? If it didn't, there'd be white text on a white background, making it invisible.
